What is the Dashboard?

The Dashboard is your daily hub — it shows feeding logs, weight trends, upcoming vaccinations, medication reminders, and recent journal entries for your active dog.

How do I switch between dogs?

Tap a dog avatar at the top of the Dashboard to switch. Dogs with a lock icon are inactive on your current plan — upgrade or manage dogs in the Profile section.

How do I log a feeding?

Tap the "+" button in the Feeding section or the quick "Feed" button. Choose a food, enter the amount, and save. The daily target is calculated automatically based on your dog's weight, breed size, and activity level.

What does the food recommendation calculate?

The recommendation uses your dog's weight, breed size, age, and activity level to estimate daily dry food needs. Set your dog's activity level in Dog Profile → Health & Feeding for the most accurate result.

How do I add a weight measurement?

Scroll to the Weight section on the Dashboard and tap "Add weight". Enter the date and weight in lbs or kg. The chart shows up to 6 months of history.

How do I log a medication or treatment?

Go to the Treatments or Medications section on the Dashboard. Tap "+" to add a record with the name, date, and optional notes.

What can I track in the Calendar?

Appointments (vet, groomer, trainer), reminders (medication, flea treatment), and recurring events. You can view by day, week, or month.

How do I add a recurring event?

When creating an event, toggle "Repeat" and choose daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. The event appears on all matching dates automatically.

Can I export events to my phone calendar?

Yes — tap the export icon on any event to download an .ics file that imports into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.

Are Calendar events synced across devices?

Yes, events are saved to your account and available on all devices where you're signed in, including the mobile app (Premium and Family plans).

What is the Health Journal?

A freeform log where you can record anything about your dog's day — vet visits, symptoms, moods, behavior, meals, or milestones. Each entry can have tags, photos, and a mood rating.

How do I filter journal entries?

Use the tag filter at the top to show entries matching specific tags (e.g., "vet", "symptom", "medication"). Use the search bar to find entries by keyword.

Can I export the journal as a PDF?

Yes — tap "Export PDF" at the top of the Journal page. The PDF includes all entries, filtered by the active date range and tags, formatted for printing or sharing with your vet.

What information can I store in a Dog Profile?

Breed, birthday, weight, sex, microchip, license, vet contact, insurance, allergies, care instructions, emergency contact, accessory measurements, activity level, and vaccination history.

How is profile completeness calculated?

Each section (Basic Info, Health & Feeding, Identification, Veterinary Care, Insurance, Emergency Contact, Allergies, Care Instructions, Owner Info, Measurements, Vaccinations, Parasite Prevention) contributes equally. Fill in all sections to reach 100%.

What is activity level and why does it matter?

Activity level (Low, Normal, Active, Working) is used to calculate your dog's daily food needs. A working dog burns significantly more calories than a low-activity indoor dog. Set it in the Health & Feeding section.

How do I add a vaccination record?

Go to Dog Profile → Vaccinations and tap "Add vaccination". Enter the vaccine name, date given, and optional next due date. You can add notes and mark it as a booster.

Can I download a profile summary?

Yes — tap "Export Health Summary PDF" at the top of the Dog Profile page. The PDF includes all profile sections, vaccination history, and recent care events.

How do I add or switch dogs?

Tap the dog switcher at the top of the Profile page. To add a new dog, tap "+". The number of dogs you can track depends on your plan: 1 (Free), 3 (Solo/Premium), 6 (Family).

How do I earn badges?

Badges are awarded automatically when you hit milestones — first feeding log, 7-day streak, 5 journal entries, completing your dog's profile, and more. Tap any badge to see the criteria.

Where do I see my badges?

Open the Dashboard and scroll to the Badges section. Locked badges show the requirement to unlock them.

Can I share badges?

Tap a badge to open its detail. From there you can share a badge card as an image.

What is included in the Family plan?

Family plan gives you up to 6 active dog profiles, all Premium features, and the ability to share access with up to 4 household members. Members can view and edit all dogs in the shared household.

How do I invite a family member?

Go to Account → Family Sharing and enter their email address. They'll receive an invite link. Once accepted, they can access the household dogs.

Can a family member add their own dogs?

Yes — each member can add dogs to the shared household. All dogs count toward the household's 6-dog limit.

How do I remove a family member?

Go to Account → Family Sharing and tap "Remove" next to the member's name.

What happens to my dogs if I downgrade from Family?

Dogs beyond your new plan limit are locked (data preserved). You can reactivate them by upgrading again. No data is deleted.

What calculators are available?

Food & Portions, Calories, Chocolate Toxicity, Dog Age in Human Years, Water Needs, Crate Size, and Harness Size.

How accurate is the food calculator?

The calculator uses established canine nutrition guidelines (NRC/AAFCO) adjusted for breed size, age, and activity level. It is a starting point — your vet can fine-tune based on your dog's specific needs.

Is the chocolate toxicity calculator a medical tool?

No — it gives a risk estimate based on body weight and chocolate type. Always call your vet or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (888-426-4435) if your dog ate chocolate.

What is in the Emergency Guide?

A searchable database of 80+ substances toxic to dogs — foods, plants, medications, household chemicals. Each entry shows severity, symptoms, what to do, and estimated toxic dose.

What do I do in a real emergency?

Call your vet immediately or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center: 888-426-4435 (fee may apply). The Emergency Guide is a reference tool, not a substitute for professional advice.

How do I find a substance quickly?

Use the search bar at the top of the Emergency page. You can filter by severity (Mild, Moderate, Severe, Critical) using the tabs.

Is there an emergency timer?

Yes — each emergency entry has a "Start Timer" button so you can track time since ingestion, which vets may ask about.

How do I change my plan?

Go to Account → Subscription and choose a plan. During the early access period, you can switch between Free, Solo, and Family at no charge.

How do I export my data?

Go to Account → Export Data and tap "Export". You'll download a JSON file with all your dogs, care events, vaccinations, and journal entries (GDPR Art. 20).

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account → Delete Account. Your data is permanently removed within 30 days (GDPR Art. 17). You can restore your account within 14 days by signing in again.

How do I change my email or password?

Go to Account → Credentials. Enter your new email or password and save. A confirmation email is sent to the new address.
