Cinnamon essential oil ingestion is treated more urgently — it should not be vomited due to aspiration risk, and activated charcoal is given if the airway is protected. Liver enzymes are monitored at 24 and 48 hours for significant Cassia cinnamon ingestion. Most culinary exposure cases are self-limiting and resolve without specific treatment.
